Recently Graduated Gabelli School Marketing Scholars are in High Demand as They Enter the Workforce or Continue on to Graduate School

Their skills ,internship experience, and deep knowledge of industry have prepared them well for the opportunities ahead

High performing sophomores who intend to pursue the undergraduate Marketing Major or the Primary Concentration of Global Marketing with Consumer Insights at the Gabelli School of Business have the opportunity to apply to become marketing scholars. This highly sought-after distinction provides them with the opportunity to pursue networking opportunities with prominent Fordham alumni and to gain hands-on exposure with leading marketing firms and professionals in the field. They also gain a deep understanding of the numerous career paths available to them and have the ability to go on site visits to top advertising agencies across New York City—the media and marketing capital of the world.

This year, graduating Marketing Scholars landed an impressive array of job opportunities, which illustrates their appeal to hiring managers and prospective employers across industries—from beauty and wellness to entertainment and financial services. Of the 18 scholars who recently graduated, 13 have secured employment, three are heading to graduate school, and two are still seeking employment.

Angelina Sun completed her B.S. in Business Administration with a dual concentration in Marketing and Information systems, and a minor in New Media and Digital Design. She is currently the global corporate citizenship and sustainability intern at The Estée Lauder Companies, where she works with the ESG reporting team. She is seeking a full-time marketing, strategy, or planning role that will foster her keen interest and passion for social impact and sustainability.

Anh Pham has been working with premier fashion and jewelry brands and some of the largest retail wholesale buyers in the world while completing a B.S. in Global Business with Marketing and Consumer Insights, Digital Marketing, and Entrepreneurship concentrations. Originally from Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, she is now considering graduate school options to continue to hone her skills working in teams, conducting in-depth analysis of data and synthesizing market information.

Ava Carreiro completed a summer internship at L’Oréal on the Maybelline New York brand engagement team as she entered her final year in the B.S. in Marketing program and was offered a full-time role at the company as a marketing management trainee following graduation.

Catherine Sullivan earned her B.S. in Business Administration with Marketing and Finance dual concentrations while also gaining experience in the entertainment industry working as a consumer marketing intern for the Comedy Central team at Paramount Global. She will be taking the next career step when she starts as a customer relationship advocate at Fidelity following graduation.

Christopher Orlando graduated with a B.S. in Marketing and Computer Science and gained experience leveraging his technical skills to deliver data-driven analysis and decision- making as an intern with iconic sports and entertainment organizations, including the New York Giants and Madison Square Garden Entertainment. He has recently started a new, full-time role as a business intelligence analyst with MSG Entertainment.

Emma Burke completed a B.S. in Marketing and while studying, held a number of internships in marketing, sales, and advertising in consumer goods and at NetApp, a global technology company. Her experiences have culminated in a current full-time role as an ad sales intern at the Walt Disney Company.

Jacqueline Risch, while studying for her B.S. in Marketing with a Fashion Studies minor, applied the business skills she learned in the classroom in the real world through a number of internships in the beauty and lifestyle space. She recently started a full-time role as a retail broadcasting coordinator at Tarte Cosmetics.

Jillian Choy has parlayed her experiences working in team settings and as an active member in student government while studying for her B.S. in Marketing with a secondary concentration in Finance. She also held internships with Weber Shandwick, NBCUniversal, and Joele Frank, the PR firm that has hired her in a full-time position as an account associate.

Kathleen Tiernan has been individually recognized and has participated in teams who have won numerous awards, including the prestigious Woolworth Award, while earning her B.S. in Marketing. She has interned for a number of companies, including Tiller Swim and Wayfair, where she has been hired as a commercial strategy associate.

Kendra Kleintop graduated with a B.S. in Marketing with Strategic Branding and Consulting concentrations as an Ignite Honors Scholar, as well as a Marketing Scholar, and was awarded a Senior Leadership Award. She gained real-world experience working with a number of clients at Summer Friday, a full-service marketing agency, and will start at the company in a full-time capacity as a marketing associate after graduation.

Kenneth Tang completed his B.S. in Global Business with Marketing and Consumer Insights and a minor in Anthropology, and he was active in student organizations on campus. Building on his experience in the entertainment industry as an intern with Paramount+, he started in a new position as a global marketing emerging talent associate for Warner Music Group in February 2024.

Lena Wienkauf will start a full-time role in the brand leadership program at Synchrony, a financial services company, where she was a summer intern in 2023. She completed a B.S. in Marketing while active in sports and as a member of Alpha Sigma Nu, a prestigious business honor society, and interning at Relix Media Group.

Matthew Quijano completed internships for co:collective, a consultancy firm; BrainStation; and Credera while winning multiple awards and participating in several groups and societies as part of the B.S. in Marketing program and throughout Fordham University. He is recently accepted a role as a research analyst at Ipsos Innovation.

Nicholas Dalaviras is on a path to realizing his ambition of pursuing a career in the entertainment industry, as he completes his B.S. in Marketing with a Film minor and as a member of the Global Business Honors program. He held a number of internships in marketing strategy roles at entertainment companies, including at Paramount where he has recently joined in a full-time role as a coordinator, marketing strategy and operations in its advertising division.

Olivia Knego graduated with a B.S. in Global Business with a concentration in Marketing and Consumer insights and a minor in Fashion Studies. As an Ignite Scholar and a Marketing Scholar, she developed critical thinking and analytical skills that she will apply as she pursues a J.D. at the Belmont University School of Law.

Regina Leon has studied on three continents and has used her experience living in different cultures to shape her career ambitions, complementing her B.S. in Marketing, Communications and Media Management with internships in New York as well as London. She will continue her journey at King’s College London where she will pursue a Master’s in International Marketing.

Syndey Allen graduated with a B.S. in Marketing with a concentration in Marketing Analytics, having taken part in challenges such as the consulting cup and applied her business skills in internships with luxury goods companies such as the Designer Network NY/LA and Frette, a fine bedding and linens company. She is looking for a full-time role to further expand her talents and skills.

Teodora Cirstea will be heading to University College London’s School of Management to complete a Master’s in Business Analytics, building on the knowledge and expertise she gained while earning a B.S. in Global Business with a concentration in Global Marketing with Consumer Insights.

Yoshimi Eder was the first student in her high school in Okinawa, Japan to attend a university in the United States, and she just graduated Magna Cum Laude with a B.S. in Global Marketing with Consumer Insights and three completed internships. She will continue to be a trailblazer for her hometown as she begins a full-time role at L’Oreal as a sales management trainee.
